Grease Removal Units
For gravity grease separators to remain effective they must be emptied at regular intervals. For internal traps, this can be as much as once a day which is one of the least favoured kitchen jobs and is often overlooked. Failure to empty will cause the trap to cease being effective, allowing grease to pass into the connecting drainage system.
To counter the problem of maintenance, automatic grease traps have been developed. These systems discharge the grease carried in the effluent into an external container automatically. By emptying the FOG as it collects, it removes a high-level (over 95%) of fat, oil and grease, making it ideal for areas where grease must not enter the drain line, such as on pumped drainage connections and sewage treatment plants.
Filta have been supplying automatic grease separators since they first came to the market in the early 1990s. We have experience of all models from all manufacturers from self-cleaning units to non-mechanical devices.
